BHE was founded because of a problem that kept showing up. People want a truly great event but the options are either a cookie-cutter venue doing the same thing for the hundredth time, or they are doing it themselves and stressed out the entire night.
Dan grew up with a deep passion for cooking and an instinct for making people feel at home at a table. That instinct became his life's work. In 2017, alongside his wife Torrie, he opened Clarizio's Italian Ristorante in Freehold, New Jersey. He did not inherit a successful restaurant. He built one from nothing, and nearly a decade later Clarizio's has become one of the most sought-after dining experiences in Monmouth County, earning a loyal following and a reputation that speaks for itself. PJ took a parallel path. He grew up in his father's restaurant, where for nearly twenty years his father ran the kind of place where people came for the food and stayed for the feeling. PJ spent his childhood watching what it means to create an experience for people, not just serve them. That never left him. From there, he took that foundation into the world of luxury spirits, where he spent 14 years building high-end brands and cultivating the kind of client relationships that the luxury market demands. In 2019, alongside his wife Jacqueline, he launched his own catering and events company with a singular focus on high-end, personalized experiences where every client felt like the only one. Two people. Two separate roads. Both pointed at the same standard.
Some partnerships are built on opportunity. This one was built on a lifetime.
PJ and Dan are lifelong friends who both came up in hospitality. In September 2025, they decided the time was right to combine what they had each built and formally launch BHE.
Somewhere along the way true hospitality disappeared. It got replaced by assembly lines, templates, and venues that treat every event like a transaction. Nobody is truly being taken care of anymore. That is what has been lost and that is exactly what BHE is bringing back.
This is not a job to us. It is a craft. Every event is approached with an uncompromising standard because that is simply who we are.
